Wow, Korbin is 5! We had scheduled his birthday party probably 2 months ago to be yesterday (29) the party was great, we sure missed having Daddy there but it was cool. Korbin kept saying "This is be best party ever" over and over again. He really enjoyed it, we invited a few friends, rented a bounce house, did a pinata and I brought down some toys from our house. Kane cried off and on through the whole thing, I'm not sure if it was the huge mosquito bites on his arm that hurt him or if it was that he didn't understand why Korbin & Katara had birthday's this month but he didn't. Korbin blew out all of his candles and he really loved having all the attention for once. He is such a great kid, I don't know how many times he told me thank you for making his party. I couldn't have made his party if it hadn't been for Tanya, Eddie (babysat so I could make an early morning cocoa powder run & kept the boys almost all day while I baked and then after while we cleaned house for the homecoming), Stephanie (I can't even type all she has done to help me, she decorated the room, helped decorate the cake while I bathed the kids, she cleaned my house after the party so I wouldn't get in trouble for the mess when J came home, seriously the list is long) and Beth (she helped so much during the party and she drove to my house the night before to give me some food coloring) Did I mention I am the luckiest girl ever! The Space Man theme was a hit I think, I know Korbin liked it which is what matters huh?
***** And now about the homecoming! Justin got home from Thailand last night FINALLY, I have never been to a homecoming in 7 years of marriage and more deployments/TAD trips than I can count. So we went to the airport last night to wait for the guys to get there. After we had been there about 15 min or so (great timing on my part huh?) A lady screamed and I mean literally screamed A Bus, Here Comes A Bus AAAAAAAAAAA! So here comes this huge dark bus and the front door opened and several guys came out then I see a familiar silhouette that came out of the back of the bus. I let Kane down and he ran to the wrong guy at first but realized that it was the wrong guy and ran to his daddy, Korbin soon followed, then I did b/c I didn't want the bus to move and squash my poor "babies" that left Katara chilling in the stroller by herself, so when the kids were safely with daddy I got Katara and wheeled her to him. It was great!!! Daddy was pleased with the van that I purchased and even more pleased when I drove home, of course I made a Taco Bell stop! We had a late dinner at the table as a family, man it's good to be complete again! Daddy bought home some awesome souvenirs one of which is an awesome flower carved from soap that is so delicate that it will shatter if I touch it. It is beautiful! He of course got his match book for his collection and his shot glass for his collection.
