Yesterday was Korbin's first ever Boy Scout Pine Wood Derby. This was a huge deal and actually loads of fun. Lucky for us Justin was home to help Korbin cut and sand the car. The day of the weigh in came and Korbin's car was nearly 2.5 ounces under the max, they had a table of weights so Korbin chose some spiky fishing weights and glued them to the top of his car. It weighed exactly what it should and he submitted it. We had to wait until the next day for the big race. Korbin's heat came up and he won 1st, then won 1st again, then 2nd, then 1st, then 3rd, then 2nd then 3rd. He didn't "place" in the Tiger group but his car got to run lots! He was so excited to cheer his car on (I think Katara and Kane enjoyed it too!) After his race his daddy went home but Korbin and I stayed to cheer on the rest of his Pack and the kids from Naha.
