The first place I thought was decent, hey you couldn't see any buildings or cars and it even had some nice natural rocks visible. I plunked Katara down arranged the boys behind her and started snapping away.
After a few shots there was pure horror in their little faces, there were ants everywhere some had even started to fly... Korbin chose the next location.
Korbin always loves any excuse to linger along the edges of "the jungle" so of course a location that required us to get off the freshly mowed grass (thank you lawn ninjas!) Kane wasn't too excited about this location, not adventurous enough I supposed. I got a few pictures and we moved along to the next location.
Kane loves danger, if there is a chance of an encounter with anything that may be life threatening he is going to try for it. He chose to squeeze through a tiny path in thick vegetation to get to where there was some trash dumped where it thinned out some. Back here I am sure was just crawling or should I say slithering with wildlife. I told them we could take a few but we needed to get out of there pronto. Korbin was nervous, Kane was excited and katara wanted to pick up all of the old "treasures" off the ground. For some reason I thought old batteries and scrap metal were not good treasure... Kane of course left with a pocket full!
Katara wanted to lay on the MONSTER hill, I could just see her tripping and falling all the way down into the road, I gave each boy strict instructions that if she were to start tumbling they were to tackle her to stop her from going all the way down... of course I think they were secretly wishing to actually get to do this. By now Korbin was DONE his allergies were horrible thanks to the freshly mowed grass and Kane was eager to get upstairs to count his treasure.
Finally I decided to go for a shot next to the building, the kids were done I was done, it had started to sprinkle some and my camera broke so I had to switch to Justin's... guess toilet water and chocolate aren't necessarily good for cameras huh? All in all I think I had enough fodder for mom to pick through and find a pose that worked for her card. I still need to decide where I want to take the kids for our card, oh yeah and buy a new camera. hmmmm decisions, decisions!
