Since we can't leave base and all...

I usually try to save a fun family outing for the blog but it doesn't look like we are going to be able to do anything fun or go anywhere for a while. We are mandated to stay on base for a time of reflection in light of recent events here. I am sad b/c there were several things I wanted to do soon. But being stuck on base isn't so bad when you have built in entertainment!

I guess I'll start out with a little update, Valentine's Day was great. I really hate the idea of a holiday where people feel forced to buy the ones they love something, I think you should buy something for you're partner because you want to not because it is February 14. That said I did enjoy my Ghiradelli chocolates and hopefully will enjoy our whale watching trip this weekend (if it hasn't been canceled) Justin got the kids chocolate puppies Kane promptly named his Chocolate Thunder and started gnawing away. Korbin of course at the eyes out first, then the nose and butt. They lasted approx 3 days which was longer than I anticipated! And I am happy to report that I still have a handful of my chocolates.

We installed part of our netting on the balcony this weekend, Kane enjoyed helping his daddy get that accomplished. At one point they both were holding extra strings in their mouths, it was so cute. So now the majority of our balcony has a barrier up so we won't be loosing any more toys or chalk down there. I still need to go to self help to get the final portion of the netting, I'll put that on my list of things to do.

There have been a lot of new development with Katara. Just this week she has went to crawling exclusively, so no more dragging herself around! She also learned how to go from laying down in bed to sitting up! Can you imagine our surprise when we opened her bedroom door and saw her sitting in her bed?! She also started pulling up! It started night before last, Justin was on the floor wrestling with the kids, yes I said kids Katara can hold her own! Anyway she pulled up on Justin so she could get to Kane. Last night she pulled up to the wooden stool in the bathroom and today I caught here getting my magazines, notebook, remote and her empty baby bottle off the coffee table. Am I ready for this yet? I'll have to let you know.

sorry you are basebound. i don't understand military life, but that doesn't sound fun. my cousin lives on a missle range in New Mexico. She says that they will have 2 hour lockdowns etc when they shoot off one.

i ate my choc animals the same way korbin did. I think you said it was korbin...all the parts first...oh yeah.

you have 3 movers on your hands. wow...i feel like i barely keep up and eli isn't even mobile yet.
