6 Months

I know this post is a little late, but I needed some time to process that my baby is 6 months old. During these 6 months I have learned so much, maybe third time's charm huh? She is truly a joy to be around, she is happy almost all the time and such a good baby. She doesn't like vegetables at all, but I must admit that even when she spits her food on me it is cute because she smiles when she does it. She loves funny voices just today Justin was talking in a really low voice and she thought it was super funny. She loves to roll around all over the floor and play on her belly. What a baby actually likes tummy time? She loves her burp rags to pieces forget the silky and chenille elephant...give her an old crusty burp rag and she'll cuddle it for hours bonus points if it smells like Justin and Kane...if you are close to us you know the smell I'm sure. I think it is reminiscent of an elephant in full musk. She can sit up pretty much on her own now, she does topple over pretty easily especially if there is a toy she wants or she sees her feet.

She has changed so much over the months, I know that is what babies do but it is really cool to actually get to enjoy it, the boys were so close together with Korbin I was pregnant with Kane, well not at 6 months, but at that time we had the move and stuff going on. Then with Kane I had Korbin who was getting into everything. At today's doctor appointment she weighed 15.1 lbs and was 25.2 inches long. She had to get 4 shots today:( but she was very brave, she didn't start to cry until the 3rd and she had stopped before the band aids were on. As the lady who gave her the shots was putting her jeans back on she gave her a huge smile.

I just can't believe how many milestones she has already passed, they are something you look so forward to and then she reaches and surpasses them and you look ahead to the next. It is so weird to think that most of you probably won't see her until she is about about Kane's age.

Speaking of Kane he found his old green binky and he thinks he likes it, but it is so funny the whole time it is in his mouth he is sucking in and when he needs to take a breath it falls out. He even cried for it over the weekend!? He hasn't had a binky in ages, he broke himself from it by accidently biting a hole in it when was really little.

The boys got each other their Christmas gifts, Kane got Korbin a green Hummer truck that the engine sparks and Korbin got Kane a red camero that the engine sparks. They are super excited about their gifts but want to play with them now.

Justin is working nights right now, so we have to be out of the house during the day, this morning I took Katara to the doctor, came home got the boys went to Dunckin' Donuts for breakfast and coffee, yes the boys got juice, then we went to the PX, every single Kiosk, haircuts, the toy store and lunch, and finally the park.

Here's a side not to pass along to all of our fast food worker friends if there is a family with several kids getting happy meals PLEASE give them each the same toy, today they each got penguins I thought finally the same toy we got home one is a pink bobble head and one is a white one that lights up, as I type Korbin is sobbing about the light up one b/c I took it away because they were shoving each other and yelling about who got it.

Katara is adorable. Love those cheeks!
I hear you on the happy meals. A couple weeks ago we got iDogs (okay, I think this was BKing) AFTER Olivia trades Paul the black dog for the white one Paul notices the light up feature. And then there was a to-do over the boxes once the idea was that the box was a doghouse, Paul regreted tearing into his in the first place. A week later we are in the food court and low and behold what is sticking out of the trashcan- I perfect idog box, so we grabbed it and I think the idogs are all forgotten now.
