Darth Vador, Firemen, and the such

Thursday night at about 1 Kane had an asthma attack, so mom and I loaded him into the car and took him to the ER. His oxygen level was pretty bad when we got there even after 2 puffs from his inhaler so we got put right in a room. Luckily mom was with me he had to have a chest xray and mama and baby sis weren't allowed to be in there, so NeeNa stayed in with him and held his hand to help calm him down. Mama sat outside and prayed for him to not be scared and you know what? He settled down...God is good huh? He lungs were clear but very aggitated and inflamed so he got a nebulizer treatment with sterroids and more albuterol and his oxygen levels went right back up to 99-100%. Yesterday we got him an appointment and they gave us a nebulizer for home, with little packets of albuterol and sterroids. We are to give him the albuteral treatment 4x a day for a while and then try to wean him down, the sterroids we are to do 2x a day all the time. I am going to make him an appointment at the end of next week to see if we can cut the treatments all the way off or go to an oral sterroid or something. Justin was a sweet heart, the only appointments they had for Kane were during my appointment so he took care of it all!!! No complaints either, I think he actually enjoyed just being him and Kane for once. Korbin hung out with me and mom upstairs.

So here is what Kane looks like during a treatment, we call it his "fireman" mask and we let Korbin wear the spare one only when Kane is doing a treatment.

My appointment went great, nothing new to report. Actually Ms. Hooper was on call and didn't really say much to me. I will go for my NST and AFI on Tuesday like normal.
