Museum!

This weekend we finally decided to started checking off the boxes on our TO DO in Okinawa list. Too bad I had already made a schedule for this starting in January...

This past weekend we went to the museum, I must say I was a little concerned that this activity wouldn't be well received among the masses, but you know what we had a BLAST! Kane LOVED the "forrest" Korbin LOVED the bones and Katara just had fun running around pressing buttons on the computers. In the forrest they had a bunch of animals that are found here, Kane thought everything was the coolest thing he had ever seen and wanted to pat or hold everything (including the wild pig!) We had a blast!
Katara was so excited to see this, she yelled A cat! A cat! and started pecking on the glass.
I took this picture just for mom, I know how much she loves soft cuddly vermin!
Ok, if you know me well you know my favorite animals are alligators/crocodiles, hippos and sea turtles. So of course I had to get a picture of my 3 favorite kiddos by one of my favorite animals, the boys are so sweet and stood there, Katara on the other hand in true Katara form said no and stormed off mid picture.
Dinosaur train, dinosaur train! Kane was SO excited to see real T-rex bones! He said he is missing teeth because he bit into another dinosaur (he said the name but I forget).

After our morning museum adventure we stopped at an interesting restaurant, it was called Tomato Onion. A few weeks ago I was trying to go to the hospital and made a series of wrong turns and ended up driving past this restaurant and made a mental note that if I were to find it again I wanted to eat there. Well we found it, Justin wasn't too excited about eating some place called Tomato Onion, but he reluctantly pulled in. It was super yummy!

Korbin's yummy hamburger creation, of course the white rice was one of the first things to go right along with the broccoli.
Katara chose "soup" well what we thought was soup it was actually a rice dish that sounded like " Ko re uh" it was SUPER delish. She ate every last drop of it only leaving some chicken which Kane was happy to take from her.
This was Kane's hamburger food, not only did my little meat eater get a hamburger, he got a sausage AND some fried chicken pieces. Add in jello and white rice and you have a happy Kane.

Also have I ever mentioned how much I will miss melon Fanta?! LOVES IT!

I always forget how much you love hippos. They are right up there for me after cats and manatees. Have you ever heard of the Owen and Mzee books? It is about an orphan hippo and an old tortoise. It is a true story and they have written kids books about them. See the website http://www.owenandmzee.com/omweb/ for info.
