Since our first New Year's here I have been wanting to visit a shrine. It was really nice, we got our "fortune" for the New Year. It said a move was in store for us (yup, yup!) After we went to the shrine we walked towards home and visited all of the street venders. We all got slushies, of course mine was Mango, Katara got Strawberry, Kane of course chose Blue and Korbin surprised us by ordering Grape! JB got yakitori sticks (he shared with the kids) and I got yummy little balls I saw being made on one of the travel channels eating shows (ironically the show was about Okinawa!) They were kind of like a pancake base, with onion and little pieces of squid they were topped with some kind of tasty sauce. I gobbled them up (of course I shared a few with the fam!) It was a beautiful day.

The food sounds fun. They just opened a new Japanese restaurant in Kirksville on the square. I am anxious to try it out. My co-worker who is vegetarian says it is great!
