So we try to go out to the park at least once a day if not twice. I figure a little sun, some grass and some socialization can't be bad! Lately we have been getting out there too late to play with the usual kids so we have had the park to ourselves which is a good thing and a bad thing.
Kane has found snails, they are his new favorite "toy" sometimes he reminds me of Lenny from Of Mice and Men. He loves those tiny snails so much but sometimes there is just too much love and he smashes them. When this happens his whole world falls apart. Another thing about Kane is he has developed a fear of heights,he is even afraid to ride of our shoulders. Today he decided he would try to climb up the outside of the slide, normally I would've stopped this behavior but I thought no way will he get very far up... well he got all the way to the top and started to cry for me to help him. It was clearly too tall for me to reach him so I had to get on the play equipment to get him down. Poor thing was shaking but he was so proud of himself for finishing it by himself!
Korbin loves rocks, he loves to collect all shapes and sizes. Sticks are also a passion for him. Here lately he goes up to the bush and gets some leaves and puts them on a stick "skewer" holds them over his rock "flames" and makes marshmellows like PawPaw makes him. It really is cute and creative.
Now what does Katara do while the boys are running, "cooking" and killing snails? well she is either in her stroller or her new swing. We got her the swing and she loves it. She had been known to laugh out loud with her first few pushes! Then she usually falls asleep. However yesterday she did go down the baby slide with my help.
****and yes I am too lazy to find the picture of Katara that is turned the right way on my computer, but hey I have another big day ahead of me that includes a long walk and a bus ride!
