More Tower Living Excitement!

Yesterday we had the windows open, it was too cold with the air conditioner on and with it turned off it was way too hot so I opened up the patio doors and the kitchen window. In the afternoon after Kane woke up from his nap we were playing puzzles, I could smell smoke and hear someone's smoke alarm going off, I went outside and couldn't see the smoke. A few minutes later our the smoke was making my eyes water and we could see the fire trucks coming up the road. I told the boys they needed to get their clothes and shoes on and get their blankies and lovey/kitty and put them in baskets by the fire escape just in case, I also put my purse there. So we still kept playing the smoke was getting really bad I opened up the front door and our hall smelled like vanilla plug-ins like usual so I decided it must be the building across the street. I went back to our room to put up some laundry. Kane ran in and said daddy's here so I went in to greet him. Somebody was pounding on our door, so I went to open it, I turned the lock and the person pushed it open, the door hit me and before I knew it 2 firemen dressed in their suits were in my house shouting stuff in Japanese, one yelled back at me checking alarms. I said is ok? and they didn't answer and ran out the door and down the hallway. I still don't know what happened. Shortly after they came in here the smell started to get better and soon it was gone. Our main alarm bell never went off so we never went outside. It was scary. Later Korbin was talking about the firemen b/c they wore their masks and oxygen tanks. Kane said they have scary boots? I said why are they scary and he said b/c they stepped on me.

Today was Korbin's football, he did GREAT!!! He was so cute playing! Our pictures were supposed to be this week, but were cancelled so they will be first thing next week. After football we went searching for the beach with a pirate ship to play on, we never found it but we did let the kids play in the water for a little bit. They were so cute, after the beach Justin took us to get some lunch at a local restaurant, we got Ginger Pork and Yakisoba...MY FAVORITES! The kids even liked it.

The funny picture of Katara was taken as she heard Kane coming closer to her with this insanely loud truck Justin found the boys, it make almost an siren sound when you pushed it around and it got so loud that we couldn't hear each other talking over it.
