This weekend we went to KinserFest, which was like a carnival on one of the other bases, they have local food vendors and lots of carnival type games! It was so much fun, it was a gorgeous night. I got to enjoy some Yakisoba and some bubble tea! The kids enjoyed jumping in a bounce house, "fishing" for prizes, we missed the dragon dance by a few seconds:( the kids would have LOVED that! The kids got to ride on the kiddie train as well.Korbin won a "power ranger" mask, which he prompley said oh I can't wait to show this to AJ, and he got an inflatable sword. Kane won a Nemo fishing pole set and a blue inflatable sword. It was so much fun getting out! The kids had a blast even Katara enjoyed the people watching, and it seemed alot of the people who walked by would stop and point and smile and talk to the kids. I have no idea what they said but they seemed to think they were cute! Korbin is getting alot nicer about the Mamasan's who like to pinch his cheeks and talk to him, at first he would like roll his eyes and shrug his shoulders but we explained to him that they talk in a different language than us and they can't understand us very well, he is now picking up on a few things like oh hi oh--hello, arrigatto- thank you and a few others but I can't think of them right now! Kane thinks anybody who isn't "white" is japannese so he will yello Oh hi oh to everyone, I keep telling myself he is just learning, he is just learning!
Some highlights since my last post include my first really embarrassing thing from Korbin out in public-
while at the PX with me I was calling him silly and stuff like that we got in the electronics clearance isle...a very busy isle and he called me a Porn Head, I said what and he said it again I said corn head and he said no mama porn like porn ya know? All these men were laughing so hard...then about 3 min later there was a kid walking around with a HUGE fro, the kid walked by and smiled at Korbin and he said look Mama he has ugly hair...Oh boy mom I'm sorry for all the things I did, wish I could take them back now I know how you felt!
